The Green Wedding Venue Photography

It is that time of year when it always feels like the dust has settled, with wedding season nearly over. It has been a great year with some amazing couples. Big up the class of 2019! One of the best 2019 duos were Laura and Haydon who held their wedding at The Green. If you are considering a wedding at The Green then take a look at  this article ” 5 reasons to choose The Green”. It is full of useful information!

I always look forward to a winter weddings since they bring different elements that can be really rewarding. The main difference is the amount of daylight you have to play with and the sunshine that is no golden, if you are lucky enough to have it! I also always love shooting at The Green just because it’s such a great venue. There are just so many options for every part of the day which makes it really interesting from a wedding photographers view.

Whist I remember check out this great article on “How to plan a winter/Christmas wedding”. Compared to a summer wedding there are different elements that you’ve got to consider, things like timings throughout the day. It’s always really important to have a chat with your photographer beforehand to get a plan together. I made sure I did this with Laura and Haydn over a good ole FaceTime call!

The Green is great for taking photos of the newlyweds just because there’s so many options. We took a walk around the grounds which let Laura and Haydon have a catch up and at the same time let me capture some beautifully relaxed natural photographs, they barely even noticed I was there. These times are really special I believe for a couple on their wedding day. The photographs are almost secondary to this time. We haven’t really discussed where we were going to go for photographs which I quite like. Laura and Haydon were happy for me to guide them and walk around the grounds. This is what my photography is all about and why I love being a wedding photographer in Cornwall.

So you may notice from the photos below that there is a waiter who completely stacked it halfway through the evening meal. He went flying with all of his cutlery in his tray right in front of the couple. This was the first for me as he was actually not a waiter, he was a “singing waiter”. He then stood up and burst into song getting everybody else to sing along with him, it was brilliant!

I really really love how this wedding flowed naturally, from start to finish it was amazing to be part of. All the guests were just so happy to be part of the day and to be witnessing their best mates getting married. And the photos show this as I always say weddings about people and the number one reason why I love photographing weddings.

Laura and Haydon, your day was brilliant thank you so much for having me! I absolutely loved shooting it for you. All the best X
