St Ives in the Summer on a Saturday is a great place for a wedding. My second wedding at St Ia’s Church this year. Crowds gathered as the bridal party arrived in a Rolls Royce no less. The church was full with guests which made for a really warm happy atmosphere. Luke and Laura were married and the bells rung out over St Ives which drew the crowds of people in to watch them leave for Gonwin Manor.
On the way there we stop off at Porthminster beach for some couple shots. The beach was really busy and the newly married couple had many people applauding them as we took photos of them. I always love that!
Gonwin Manor is a high end complex of self-catering cottages with stunning views over the coast and countryside. It’s cliff top position is an amazing setting, offering one of the most picturesque settings for a wedding, certainly one of best near St Ives’s.
The best part is that you can place your marquee in the grounds of Gonwin Manor overlooking the cliff and our to sea with nearly 180 degree vies. Such breathtaking views. The wonderful venue is a hidden gem.. Luke and Laura’s reception was held here and I really enjoyed photographing their wedding day. All the best for the future Laura and Luke!
