I always love being a wedding photographer in my hometown of Falmouth it makes me happy! I recently had the pleasure of photographing Louise and Graham’s wedding at The GreenBank Hotel. The day started with Graham getting ready on his yacht (as you do!) in Falmouth harbour. This was a tight squeeze for all of his groomsmen but this only added to the excitement and I am sure a few nerves! I headed over to see the bride; Louise and the girls were all busy getting ready!
Top tip for your wedding at The Greenbank Hotel
If you choose The Greenbank Hotel for your wedding then make sure you get a room with a balcony overlooking the harbour! It is just a must for your photos.
Talking of water this wedding was all about getting on or near the water from start to finish, exactly what I love to do.
The couple chose Mawnan Smith Church to get married in which is a great choice for a few reasons. Firstly the church is a beautiful Cornish church great for your photos! Secondly, be sure that you make the most of where it is located. A short walk and you will find yourselves with some amazing scenery perfect for intimate photos of you both.
The couple then arrived at The Greenbank Hotel in style on their yacht. All of the guests had been gathered on the balcony to wave and greet the newly married couple. It was a great moment!
It is well worth when you book a photographer making sure that the days details have been run through so that your photographer knows what to expect. Having done this with Graham and Louise prior to their day it meant we got some great photos of the couple arriving and all of the guests waving
The couple came ashore and from there, the party started!
